Welcome BTS and Hello Hello to our new subscribers

After a few months on hiatus over Summer / Winter (in Aus) break we are happy to be back with the RBS Newsletter. Hope you all are well and had an awesome break and are back into school.

How was your break? Best thing you did – can you remember now? Got a new job / position / year group this year?

Personally, being in Australia where it is week 7 of our Term 3, I am almost wrapping up the year and getting ready for 2025! Very much trying to get on top of everything after being in my new job for over two years now.

What’s new for Rough Blobby Shapes on TPT

The last few months I have been exploring and developing some old / new ideas for resources that have been on the “back burner” since I started on TPT almost three years ago. I wanted to get these developed finally to firstly just “get them out of my head” and into the world, expand my offerings a bit, and just have some fun too. So far the response has been simply fabulous.


Materials – Metalwork / Woodwork

First up was some Woodwork and Metalwork resources. These were actually going to be my first resources developed three years ago but I decided to “experiment” with Agriculture and Cooking first. They exploded and everything else after so it’s just taken this long to get back to them.

Sports

A few months ago I had a thought it might be fun to make something for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. Then I started thinking about some other sports too. After brainstorming a few ideas I decided to have a go – probably terrible timing as a heap of sports were about to start up so time was very short.

The first couple though had great responses and immediate sales so I have now done a few more. Late – but moving fast!

And it sounds a bit Captain Obvious – but I am offering as many “W” / Women’s versions of the sports as possible too, making them as unique as possible. It’s been fantastic to see so many women sport leagues take off and be successful – especially in Australia where almost every major league has an equal female version.

More to come soon with NBL, NBA, NHL, MLS, A-League/W, BBL/W, Super Netball, Super Rugby etc and more planned

What’s Next for RBS and TPT??

So that’s what I have been doing – What’s Next?

Well lots planned – on top of the Sports Stuff as listed above. Had a mini planning session over the last week and here is what is currently planned:

  • Digital / Internet / Computers – 8-12 resources
  • FCS / FACS / Cooking – 4+ main resources and MANY mini ones that have been “planned for ages”.
  • Agriculture – Expanding the Livestock Farming products, but also a new range of Plant / Crop Farming resources. No idea how many but let’s say between 8 and LOTS.
  • Woodworking – 4/8 resources
  • Metalwork – 4/8 resources
  • Engineering – 2-6 resources
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Textiles / Fabric

And somewhere in there, updating all the older resources to the new formats and a 2025 refresh.
